Wall-mounted awning in the form of N. European Bee Skeps (hive made of woven plant fiber). One of a group of three distinct regional forms. This work, and many others, were informed by my study of the archaeology of beekeeping - its structures, tools, methods, clothing, and almost mystical attributes

2019; 54"h x 42"w x 8"d; cotton, steel rod, latex paint. Pigmentation is applied directly to the wall, reflecting light around the interior.
